Click Here For 2014 CSA Slideshow In honor of our 30 years of farming, we have established a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program. We want to show our appreciation to our loyal customers for their on-going support. CSA is a way for our customers to become a part of our farm family through a partnership of mutual commitment. Each year you buy a "share" in the harvest at R & C Farms/Simons Greenhouse and in exchange you get a season's worth of product. This is our ninth year offering this program and we are expecting success. We are offering a maximum of 100 shares issued at $500 a full share, or $300 a half share, providing 16 weeks of crops. The goal is for a targeted average share to yield approximately 15 pounds of produce per week for a full share. A share is seasonal and the yield of products depends on the growing conditions, crop success, and failures. The length of the CSA season will be 16 weeks (mid-June-mid October). Shares will be available for pick-up anytime on Thursdays. Please call ahead if you are unable to pick up your share. If you will be away we suggest you give your share to a friend or family to enjoy. In addition to vegetables and small fruit, shares could include annuals & perennials, cut flowers, as well as pumpkins and mums. The produce will always be fresh, high quality, and grown with a minimum amount of pesticides. You will know where your produce comes from as well as the people who grow it. Included in the CSA we offer the opportunity to purchase bulk produce at wholesale prices. Fresh, canned produce is always great in the off season. We are hoping this will be a great experience to continue year after year. We currently have 88 members and are planning on having 100 shares for 2019. To commit please have a payment of $500.00 or $300.00 by March 1st, 2019. Checks are payable to R & C Farms, stop by or call for credit card payments. Should you have any questions feel free to contact us. |
